About Henry County, Kentucky

Henry County, Kentucky is a rural community that benefits from a diverse economy led by a strong agricultural base, small local businesses and tourism. Eminence Speaker Company is just one example of Henry County businesses that are making products locally, then selling them throughout the world. This homegrown company occupies an 80,000 square foot plant, employees around 200 people and produces over 10,000 speakers per day.

The county is home to the Kentucky Renaissance Fair, a Harvest Showcase festival, Smith Berry Winery, and Six Mile Creek Distillery, a new Bourbon Trail venue.  The county’s education system is strong with ties to both four year universities and regional technical schools.  This creates a strong workforce that is well trained and supports both local industries and the region’s steel and chemical plants, including SteelTech which is also located in Henry County.

Our tax rates are low and the infrastructure to our industrial sites are excellent. We are located between Louisville and Cincinnati on I-71 with easy access to airports, railways and the interstate highway system.
