We don't work in isolation. Our region's economic momentum depends on a deliberate, structured network of public-private partnerships. These relationships strengthen our capacity to support employers, train workers, and respond quickly to market demands.
One Region is Aligned for Business
Whether a project involves new site development, talent recruitment, or small business assistance, KIEDA draws from a regional bench of capable partners who bring specific expertise and on-the-ground resources. We coordinate with local chambers, state agencies, workforce groups, and higher education institutions to move projects forward quickly and precisely.
These relationships are functionally integrated into delivering value to businesses across Carroll, Gallatin, Henry, Oldham, Owen, and Trimble counties.
Examples of Public-Private Partnership in Action
Site Readiness
Through collaboration with the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and county-level industrial authorities, we secure investment to upgrade infrastructure, complete due diligence, and make sites development-ready, eliminating months of delay for prospective investors.
Workforce Pipeline Development
KIEDA works alongside the Northern Kentucky Area Development District and the University of Kentucky's Community & Economic Development program to align training efforts with employer needs. In Owen County, this partnership is helping to equip job seekers with skills tailored to local manufacturing and logistics sectors.
Small Business Support
Entrepreneurs access startup guidance, capital connections, and market insights through the Small Business Development Center and chambers in each of our six counties. These aren't standalone resources but are embedded in KIEDA's project delivery model.
Our Network of Aligned Partners Includes:
- The Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency

Maximize Impact Through Partnership
Economic development is, by itself, with one person or one group. KIEDA leverages its public-private partnerships to reduce risk, accelerate timelines, and produce better outcomes for businesses and communities.
