An office building owned by Randy and Billie Hayes sat empty off DW Griffith Lane in La Grange, KY.
They hadn’t received a call to fill the space for months, so they began racking their brains for ways to get use out of the facility.
Then it clicked – they could build something that filled a want in their own life.
“We had just started playing pickleball,” Randy said. “And I thought ‘You know what, there’s nowhere in Oldham County that has an indoor court. Let’s try it.’”
So they hired Tennis Technology to build a professional-quality, regulation-sized pickleball court in the building’s back room and began renting it out by the hour to the public.
